This is one of my silhouetted drawings and it was done for a person I know who lives in Australia. It depicts Tim Burton's version of the Cheshire Cat. Its eyes were originally supposed to glow in the dark, but the effect that I tried didn’t work. I originally painted the eyes with a thick coating of glow in the dark paint and then laid a very thin layer of green pastel over the top of it, but despite it having been layered thinly, the pastel unfortunately still prevented the paint's glow from showing up. I could not leave it as it was with the paint alone because it would have looked unfinished, but I still think it came out nicely and when I took the photo of it for the purpose of making prints, my camera's flash ended up creating the glow after all. The title is part of one of the cat's quotes from the movie. The concept of the Cheshire Cat and the original painting that I recreated into a drawing belongs to and is the copyright of Walt Disney Pictures, Roth Films, Lewis Carroll, and Tim Burton.
